In honor of the Common Reading (held on Tuesday, October 13), dine on traditional Cambodian fare before heading to the Rec Center at 7:00 p.m. to hear author, Vaddey Ratner, share her story of enduring forced labor, starvation, and near execution under the Khmer Rouge and discuss why she chose to write a fictionalized account of these events rather than a memoir.
