Think.Eat.Save

Unnecessary food waste is a problem.  Think about the amount of energy it take to grow, water, harvest, pack, ship, & prepare food – through all of those steps energy, water, and resources are used.  Through simple habitual changes, we can all save those precious resources, value the life of an animal, and appreciate the wholesome food we are given.  A massive 40% of food produced in the US goes to waste & 97% of food waste ends up in the landfill.  Food waste that ends up in the landfill rots and produces dangerous methane gas (a greenhouse gas 21 times more potent than carbon dioxide!).  Through our Think.Eat.Save campaign we’re hoping that our guests will not only change their eating habits at RWU, but also at home, while eating out, and help teach others!
